Life not Social Media
This quote is posted in my studio:
“You have to chase the things that ignite you. You have to
do the things that bring you joy."
-Bianca Sparacino, A Gentle Reminder
Hi friend,
August was the last time I shared anything major on social media. And, it was Caty’s stunner of an engagement ring, if I do say so myself. I mean, it’s a 2 carat diamond surrounded by 14 karat yellow gold, she can practically ice-skate on it.
But anyway, Social Media got the best of me. Again. So naturally I took a break. Even from my studio. Even from doing what ignites me. I deleted the app and didn’t walk into my studio until months later. Jokes on me though, because everything on social media changed. Again.
It drains my creative soul and leaves me frustrated after so much energy goes to waste because it’s becoming less about connection and more about scrolling with very little interaction. It can sometimes feel like that socially awkward person who keeps talking at you rather than with you.
So as the new year came and went, I realized how badly I missed carving jewelry from wax, then watching it transform into a beautiful piece of gold. I needed my creative outlet again.
Since mid-January I’ve been slowly creating again and mannn does it feel amazing! But, unfortunately, with that also means coming back to social media.
And during that transition, it made me realize that social media feels more like laundry. We all need clean clothes but the constant upkeep is down right annoying and tedious.
But I didn’t come here to complain. Truly.
I wanted to share that I’ll continue to utilize social media, but only to share the entire process of each piece that I hand carved then casted in my Alabama studio. The process will be broken down into 3 reels and you’ll probably see that piece and other products in stories, especially around holidays.
That’s it. That’s my plan on how to manage and keep social media burn-out at bay.

The main way I’d love to connect and interact with you is through email and with every email you can reply directly to me. My goal is to send 2 emails each month. One product based and the other more like a blog/newsletter.
Let’s start really connecting. Let’s have a conversation. Ask about the process. OR let’s have coffee (if you’re local, of course) and I can show you Rove Finery jewelry in person or we can set up a permanent jewelry appointment. I’m here to connect with you.
.
Genuine connection, intentionally made jewelry, embracing life and all the imperfections, wanderlust, sunshine…..oh, and horses :) Those are all things that continue to inspire and influence my journey and I’d love nothing more than to share it with you.
.
