Meet Kayla
Rove Finery was born from my love of genuine connection, intentional making, and fully embracing life—imperfections, grit, beauty.
Since 2015, I’ve been teaching myself the craft of fine jewelry. What began as a stay-at-home mom sneaking creative time in a tiny garage corner has grown into a full studio that now fills most of our basement. I carve each design in wax by hand, then use the lost-wax casting process to transform it into gold, often finishing pieces with diamonds, sapphires, and textured details that proudly show the maker’s hand.
“Rove” is the wandering, evolving journey we’re all on; “Finery” is the small treasure you carry with you along the way. Each piece is made with intention—meant to feel like a companion through the beautiful, chaotic mix of missteps and victories, a little reminder that there is magic in the imperfect parts of the story.
My family is a huge part of Rove Finery. I met Colby, my college sweetheart, at The University of Alabama in 2008 where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education only to apply that knowledge to raising our 3 children. When the boys were babies, I utilized their bed time to teach myself the art of metal-smithing.
